Imagination Library Book Club

I don’t know about the rest of you, but my first born (2) is signed up for the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library book club.

We get a new book in the mail every month. It’s great, because it gets new books into our house, even when we haven’t had time to go out and find new things to read.

I’ve let him keep most of them, but some are just a little on the weird side. Upon each new arrival, I try to read it first, decide if it’s appropriate for my child, and then either read it to him or trash it. Call me crazy, but that’s how it works. We don’t just let him watch or read just anything.

As each month passes, I will read post about what book we received, a brief summary of said book, and then my thoughts on it, wrapping up the post with a yea or nay. If you have received the same books, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them in the comments section.
